Belly button in or out: In
Sleep: My sleep has seen better nights. I tend to toss and turn a lot. Plus my hubby says I have picked up a new habit of snoring, sometimes it wakes me up too. :/ LOL
Best moment this week: Getting a prenatal massage...felt like heaven. Feeling movement. It is the best feeling in the world!
Worst moment this week: Experiencing some horrible back pain/sciatic nerve pain. Looking forward to my next yoga class, hopefully I can get it feeling better.
Miss anything: Nope.
Movement: YES! He is starting to get stronger and stronger. The other day I swear it felt like he did a somersault or rolled to the right then rolled to the left. I think we have a little athlete coming!

19 Weeks

Ooops! Forgot to do week 18 picture and post!

Not too much happening lately around Casa de Daher. Hubby is working like a maniac and I feel like I am starting to get into nesting mode. I can't believe this incredibly strong urge I have to clean and organize EVERYTHING! Like our little bambino is going to know if my closet is color coordinated or not?! (Now, if I could only start to act on that urge!) I am getting really excited starting to plan the nursery, can't wait too see everything come together!

How far along: 19 Weeks-Baby Daher is the size of a mango!
Gender: IT'S A BOY!!!
Weight gain: 11lbs.
Maternity clothes: Still wearing regular clothes and my maternity jeans. Although, I think it might be time to get some bigger, stretchy tops, don't want everything to get stretched out. :/
Have you started to show yet: Yes
Stretch marks: Nope.
Belly button in or out: In
Sleep: I have been sleeping great and sleeping A LOT!
Best moment this week: Feeling the first movement of our little bambino!!
Worst moment this week: The Victoria Secret Swim Suite catalog is out....'nuff said.
Miss anything: An ice cold glass of pinot gris
Movement: YES! It started off feeling like a little popcorn kernel popping and now it has gotten a little stronger. Mostly kicking early in the morning.
Symptoms: My hands have started to swell and my wrists are hurting sometimes. I'm sure my years as a dental assistant aren't helping the situation. Trying to cut back on salt to see if that helps.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!!
Exercise: I have cut back on cardio because i'm suppose to be avoiding jerky movements. (Guess no more showing off my amazing dance moves.) The weather is getting a little warmer so i'm hoping to become a professional speed walker. Still loving prenatal yoga. Namaste.
Cravings: Not having any strong cravings. Any food in general is inhaled.
Wedding Rings on or off: On/Off-It just depends if my hands are swollen that day.
Anything making you queasy or sick: I have been getting a couple waves of nausea and I don't know why.
Looking forward to: Our next ultrasound appointment in a couple weeks! Can't wait to see our little man again and how much he has grown! Also looking forward to planning the nursery! So many ideas!

17 Weeks-We know the gender!

How far along: 17 weeks completed!
Gender: IT'S A BOY!!! We are SO excited! Can't wait to meet our little man!
Weight gain:11lbs. Doctor says I am on track to gain 30lbs. for my pregnancy.
Maternity clothes: Still wearing regular clothes and my maternity jeans. I bought some new work out clothes and got them three sizes too big so I can grow into them, I probably look ridiculous, but hate wasting money.
Have you started to show yet: I would say yes.
Stretch marks: Nope, thank God!
Belly button in or out: In
Sleep: I have been sleeping great ever since I got my Bump Nest pillow! It is amazing and so comfortable. I even caught Ahmad snuggling in it the other night and he is about to order his own because there is no way I am sharing! My arms keep falling asleep when I am sleeping, they say it's normal, but I hate the way it feels.
Best moment this week: Finding out we are going to have a sweet baby boy! We also had the best time ringing in the New Year with all our family.
Worst moment this week: People telling me that I look 6 months pregnant or asking if there is two in there. I would really like to see these women when they were pregnant and the ones who haven't been yet, all I have to say is KARMA. At my last doctors appointment I was asking her about my weight gain and belly size and she asked me why the paranoia. When I told her she said well you are perfectly healthy and normal and the next time someone says that you have three options A.)Break down in tears B.)Flip them off and say F U or C.) Say "I am pregnant, what's your excuse"?! I think I am going to do a B and C combo! My doctor is so hilarious and I am feeling blessed we chose her, she has been amazing so far.
Miss anything: Not feeling like a chubby bunny.
Movement: Not feeling anything yet. :(
Symptoms: I'm still a Sensitive Sally and have been experiencing some mood swings. I also have been feeling a little swollen/bloated lately.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!! Unless I am having a mood swing and being cranky! :/
Exercise: Still doing my cardio with some weight training. It's been too cold to go on walks. I also have started doing a 90 minute prenatal yoga class twice a week and I love it.
Cravings: I'm craving vegetables!....Said no one....EVER! I had one crazy craving for a orange/pineapple juice and literally made Ahmad pull over so I could get one. Other than that I haven't been having any specific cravings. I do have the appetite of a truck diver and could eat a Chipotle bowl everyday.
Wedding Rings on or off: On/Off-It got stuck the other day (thank God for Windex), so I haven't been wearing it for a couple days just in case and see if my swelling goes down.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope.
Looking forward to: Feeling movement! I'm thinking he is just a gentleman and doesn't want to kick his mommy, but I keep telling him it's okay!

Must share pregnancy story of the week:
My last check up was December 31st, New Years. While we were talking to the doctor we were telling her how anxious and excited we were to find out the gender. We really want to give it a identity and a name and start planning. We didn't like calling it 'It' or he/she. We were unable to do the blood testing because they said it would have had to be done at my 1st trimester blood screening and the doctor also said they haven't been doing it because they received 3 false positives, also the 3-D imaging centers wouldn't see me until I was at least 20 weeks.
So the doctor says " I really like you two and can see how excited you are, lets see what we can do". She leaves the room and comes back in with a portable ultra sound machine! Needless to say I squealed like a little school girl at a Justin Beiber concert. Because our little one is so well endowed, there is no mistaking it that it is a boy! He was also already being a boy and touching and checking out what he has so far. She said they will double check at my next ultra sound on the 27th of January, but she is pretty positive we are having a little man.
The best part is every New Years Eve our family does a New Years Eve party at a hotel in Bellevue, so we got to tell everyone that night what we were having and that our nephew Zane is going to have a little buddy soon. So excited they will be 7 months apart! We spent the night dancing and celebrating our news!

16 Weeks-Holiday Fun

Phew! What a busy holiday season it has been! So proud that we finally got to send out our first family holiday card as the Dahers!

Ahmad and I have been having so much fun with our friends and family this month. I would have to say our favorite holiday party this year was at The Evans Estate. My friend Katie had the best decor, music, guest list (shout out to my fellow preggo-Laura, thanks for letting me ask so many questions!) and most importantly (at least for this pregnant lady).....an amazing food table! :)

Christmas Eve was by far the best night! We went over to Ahmad's Mom's house and made pizza's with the family. Who knew my *brother Omar had such amazing pizza making skillz?! After pizza's our friends the Reeves family came over to play a fun game of PicWits, drink tea and we all couldn't stop eating these amazing peanut butter cookies Mrs. Reeves made. Definitely a new tradition we are going to have to keep. Not pictured is my beautiful *sister Haneen, she was elbow deep in pizza sauce and then was busy taking care of the newest addition to the family, Zane.

* I am not a fan on putting "In-Law" after, we are family now who cares if it is by law or not. The More You Know...

Things are getting saucy!
Mama Mia!
You didn't see nothin', so don't say nothin'!
We love our Tata!

How far along: 16 Weeks
Gender Prediction: I'm going to guess girl because everyone is saying they think it will be a girl.
Weight gain: 5lbs.
Maternity clothes: Still wearing regular clothes, legging and my maternity jeans. My tops are starting to get a little tight around the chest area if you know what I mean. :/
Have you started to show yet: I feel like I am still in that stage of "Is she pregnant or did she eat too many burritos?"
Stretch marks: Nope, loving my Palmers Cocoa Butter and oil.
Belly button in or out: In
Sleep: I have been sleeping great, but I keep waking up at 3am to go to the bathroom.
Best moment this week: Christmas fun!
Exercise: So proud of myself for finally having a daily work out routine! I do 30 minutes on the elliptical followed by some light weights or I will walk a couple miles with our Havanese dog Leon and do some floor exercises.
Miss anything: It's hard watching everyone cheers with Champagne.
Movement: I thought I felt something the other day, but I am sure it was just a figment of my imagination.....or gas. Hehe ;)
Symptoms:  Still pretty emotional, it doesn't take much for me to tear up.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Very Happy!!
Cravings: Pineapple, strawberries, salad with Italian dressing. For those who don't know me, I HATE raw tomatoes. I can eat salsa and things like that, but I have NEVER been one to just slice tomatoes up and throw them in my salad....until now. For some reason I can't seem to get enough of them.
Wedding Rings on or off: On
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope, feeling really good! Hamdullah!
Looking forward to: Feeling movement and New Years-We have out next check up on the 31st!

15 Weeks

There are not enough words to describe how elated my husband Ahmad and I are after finding out we are pregnant. I decided to start this blog because I think it is a really fun way of keeping track of our adventures in pregnancy and keeping friends and family up to speed on what's happening. I decided to do the chalkboard and photos after seeing the idea on Pinterest and I think it is such a cute way to document my growing bump. Welcome to our journey.

How far along: In our 15th Week
Gender Prediction: Not sure yet, but everyone is telling us they think it's a girl.
Weight gain: 5lbs. Guess I did some damage on Thanksgiving. :/  I know they say you are not eating for two, but during my 1st trimester the only way to keep the nausea away was to eat carbs. Doctor said my gain is healthy and normal so far.
Maternity clothes: Still wearing regular clothes. I got tired of doing the rubber band trick with my pants, so I bought a pair of AG maternity jeans at Destination Maternity and I LOVE them, they are so comfortable.
Have you started to show yet: Yes, definitely have a belly and looking chubby for sure!
Stretch marks: No, I have been slathering on my Coco butter and oil religiously.
Belly button in or out: In
Sleep: I have been sleeping great, but I keep waking up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. Luckily I am able to take naps during the day to help catch up on my sleep.
Best moment this week: This was last week, but Our Ultrasound and check up on Monday December the 2nd. It was amazing to see the baby and how much it has been growing! We also got to hear the healthy heartbeat. Feeling so blessed for our little miracle.
Worst moment this week: No worst moment, I have been experiencing little headaches now and then. Feeling very overwhelmed with trying to educate myself on baby products.
Miss anything: Being a size 2 and sleeping through the night.
Movement: Not feeling anything yet.
Symptoms: I have been very emotional, I cry watching diaper commercials.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Very Happy!!
Cravings: Chicken and anything fruity or sweet. I also can't get enough ICE cold water.
Wedding Rings on or off: On
Anything making you queasy or sick: I still get little waves of nausea when I try to do too much.
Looking forward to: Feeling movement and finding out the gender!
