Gender: IT'S A BOY!!! We are SO excited! Can't wait to meet our little man!
Weight gain:11lbs. Doctor says I am on track to gain 30lbs. for my pregnancy.
Maternity clothes: Still wearing regular clothes and my maternity jeans. I bought some new work out clothes and got them three sizes too big so I can grow into them, I probably look ridiculous, but hate wasting money.
Have you started to show yet: I would say yes.
Stretch marks: Nope, thank God!
Belly button in or out: In
Sleep: I have been sleeping great ever since I got my Bump Nest pillow! It is amazing and so comfortable. I even caught Ahmad snuggling in it the other night and he is about to order his own because there is no way I am sharing! My arms keep falling asleep when I am sleeping, they say it's normal, but I hate the way it feels.
Best moment this week: Finding out we are going to have a sweet baby boy! We also had the best time ringing in the New Year with all our family.
Worst moment this week: People telling me that I look 6 months pregnant or asking if there is two in there. I would really like to see these women when they were pregnant and the ones who haven't been yet, all I have to say is KARMA. At my last doctors appointment I was asking her about my weight gain and belly size and she asked me why the paranoia. When I told her she said well you are perfectly healthy and normal and the next time someone says that you have three options A.)Break down in tears B.)Flip them off and say F U or C.) Say "I am pregnant, what's your excuse"?! I think I am going to do a B and C combo! My doctor is so hilarious and I am feeling blessed we chose her, she has been amazing so far.
Miss anything: Not feeling like a chubby bunny.
Movement: Not feeling anything yet. :(
Symptoms: I'm still a Sensitive Sally and have been experiencing some mood swings. I also have been feeling a little swollen/bloated lately.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!! Unless I am having a mood swing and being cranky! :/
Exercise: Still doing my cardio with some weight training. It's been too cold to go on walks. I also have started doing a 90 minute prenatal yoga class twice a week and I love it.
Cravings: I'm craving vegetables!....Said no one....EVER! I had one crazy craving for a orange/pineapple juice and literally made Ahmad pull over so I could get one. Other than that I haven't been having any specific cravings. I do have the appetite of a truck diver and could eat a Chipotle bowl everyday.
Wedding Rings on or off: On/Off-It got stuck the other day (thank God for Windex), so I haven't been wearing it for a couple days just in case and see if my swelling goes down.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope.
Looking forward to: Feeling movement! I'm thinking he is just a gentleman and doesn't want to kick his mommy, but I keep telling him it's okay!
Must share pregnancy story of the week:
My last check up was December 31st, New Years. While we were talking to the doctor we were telling her how anxious and excited we were to find out the gender. We really want to give it a identity and a name and start planning. We didn't like calling it 'It' or he/she. We were unable to do the blood testing because they said it would have had to be done at my 1st trimester blood screening and the doctor also said they haven't been doing it because they received 3 false positives, also the 3-D imaging centers wouldn't see me until I was at least 20 weeks.
So the doctor says " I really like you two and can see how excited you are, lets see what we can do". She leaves the room and comes back in with a portable ultra sound machine! Needless to say I squealed like a little school girl at a Justin Beiber concert. Because our little one is so well endowed, there is no mistaking it that it is a boy! He was also already being a boy and touching and checking out what he has so far. She said they will double check at my next ultra sound on the 27th of January, but she is pretty positive we are having a little man.
The best part is every New Years Eve our family does a New Years Eve party at a hotel in Bellevue, so we got to tell everyone that night what we were having and that our nephew Zane is going to have a little buddy soon. So excited they will be 7 months apart! We spent the night dancing and celebrating our news!
